Many
unwanted animals are given a second chance through the shelter's
pet adoption program. Adoption fees pay for necessary services such
as spay/neuter of the pet, vaccinations, microchip, flea prevention,
heartworm test (dogs), and a physical exam. Adopting a pet from
Animal Services is often an excellent alternative for those looking
to acquire a companion.
Also
view our pets for adoption at petharbor.com,
petfinder.com
or pets911.com. Sometimes puppies
and small dogs are adopted before they appear on our website, so
it's always a good idea to visit our facility often.
Also,
some of our cats for adoption can be found at the Petsmart in Machesney
Park, IL (Rt.173) and Terri's Aqualand in Roscoe, IL.
Our
adoption hours are Monday, 11am until 6:30pm; Tuesday through Friday,
11am until 4:30pm; and Saturday, 10 am until 3:30pm. Closed on Sunday.
