Spay or Neuter your Pet - February 25 to February 29 - $10 spay/neuter vouchers for low-income Winnebago County residents. DO NOT bring your pets. Bring state-issued photo ID with current county address, proof of household income, proof of current rabies shot and tag for pet. Limit 4 vouchers per household.

Petsmart Adoptions
Cats are available for adoption every day during Petsmart's regular business hours.

WCAS volunteers are available to assist you with cat adoptions or questions about Animal Services every Saturday and some Sundays.

Ask a Petsmart manager for assistance if a volunteer is not available.

Meet and Greet Dogs at Petsmart

Every first Thursday evening from 5pm to 8pm at Petsmart on E. State Street in Rockford.

Every third Thursday evening from 5pm to 8pm at Petsmart on Rt. 173 in Machesney Park.

Spay/Neuter Assistance Program
For years Animal Services has offered a spay/neuter assistance program for low income residents of Winnebago County that is available every day of the year during regular business hours.

In order to qualify, Winnebago County residents must provide proof of current pet vaccinations, county pet license and household income. A small fee is also required. Vouchers are limited to two per address or family.
