Why are licenses necessary?

Licenses help us identify lost pets and reunite them with their owners and help us determine which of those lost pets have or have not had a rabies vaccination. (more)...

Animal Services Honors
Mary Anne Aiello

A plaque honoring the late county board member, Mary Anne Aiello, was unvieled Thursday, October 2 in the lobby of Winnebago County Animal Services. Mike Wood of Louisville, KY, Mary Anne's brother presented director Gary Longanecker with a check for $21,000. The money will help renovate the outdoor dog runs and exercise areas, and hopefully, jump start other expansions Animal Services needs.

Mary Anne Aiello was known in the community as an animal advocate.

The celebration was attended by Mary Anne Aiello's family and friends as well as local elected officials and Animal Services staff and volunteers.
